Currently, 1 of 150 people is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (or ASD).
80% of people with ASD are under 18 years-old. Children with ASD can and do learn, with early intervention being the best known cure.
Please join this noble cause, and join Leo on the course by participating in the Capitol Classic.
Help us increase our pace as we get closer and closer to a finish line where we can solve the fastest growing childhood disorder today.
What is a Team?
A team is any group of five or more participants. Team members can be all ages, abilities/disabilities and can be a combination of recreational riders and racers. A recreational rider includes bicycles, tricycles, strollers and recumbent cycles.
Are there prizes for Teams?
Yes. Prizes will be awarded to the largest team, the team raising the most funds, and those with the most creative team-wear on Event Day.
What am I responsible for as Team Captain?
Team Captains are responsible for directing team members to www.BikeForAutism.org to register online under their selected team name or collecting all entry forms and fees and submitting them as a whole to Circuit Global Sports Management no later than Tuesday, May 29th. Team members may be added after this date but will not impact the standing of a team for prizes. A team roster is included for Team Captains to keep track of their members. Communications from Circuit Global Sports Management will be directed to the Team Captain.
Can a team collect donations?
Absolutely! We encourage the Team and its Captain to set a fundraising goal. We recommend a minimum of $5 per team member over and above the registration fee. Donation forms are included in the team packet. Simply fill in your name and an address for pledges to be sent back to the Team Captain. We ask that all donations are collected by the Team Captain and turned in either at NOW Bike & Fitness in St. Paul on May 28th & 29th or on race day. Teams will be notified of prizes within two weeks of the event.
How does a Team get its Registration Packet (bib and info)?
One of two ways. Team members can visit NOW Bikes & Fitness on March 28th & 29th to receive these items. Team Captains will receive an email from Circuit Global Sports Management approximately early-May asking if they or a member will be picking up all team members’ packets prior to event day; if yes, all team members’ items will be collected into one package; if no, each member will need to pick up their individual items on event day at the Team Registration Tent. If items are picked up early, it is that team’s responsibility to make sure each member gets their specific registration packet.
